yesterday i witnessed three chefs having this exact same conversation about 4 blocks from my apt here in atlanta. the unintended consequences of fame, i suppose. these chefs specifically blamed the food network for inspiring a generation of culinary school grads who don’t know the first thing about hard work in the kitchen.

the obvious answer is both. but selfishly and naively, i’m sure- my needle tips in favor of social media and the internet every time; even in spite of evidence of it’s clear capacity for both good and evil. i want to believe the best in my technology and those technologists who wield it.
